Surrealism - shoot and edit plan

I watched a youtube tutorial on how to make it look like the models face is cracking like paint. This edit has really interested me and I would like to give it a go. If the image turns out well then I would like to adapt more on it and try and work it in to my final image. I believe adding in this effect will give my final image a real stronge look if done correctly.
