Job role: Make-up and hair artist

Make-up and hair artists create make-up and hairstyles to meet production requirements and oversee make-up and hair continuity.

You need: possess hairdressing skills

posses make-up skills

have a good eye for colour

have an understanding of the anatomy of the human skull and facial muscles

be able to make break down scripts in terms of make-up and hair plots

be hight organised

be able to work effectively as part of a team

pay close attention to detail

They oversee make-up and hair continuity during filming and remove products as required. Make-up and hair artists are employed throughout pre-production and production, and usually work on a freelance basis.

Job role: Advertising and editorial photographer

Advertising and marketing communications, photo imagining and publishing.

You need: enjoy travel, meeting new people and solving visual challenges

be able to interpret ideas and stories

understand the principles of composition

be organised, practical and creative

work well with busy and stressful situations

have good communication skills

be skilled in image-manipulation

Advertising photographers produce images that support a marketing idea in answer to a photographic brief given to them by a client, a designer or an advertising agency.

Job role: Fashion designer

Fashion designers design items of clothing for a wide range of retails.

You need: have a creative eye for colour and shape

draw and show designs effectively

have an interest in fashion and past and future trends

have excellent skill's in sewing and pattern-making

They can design items of clothing for a wide range of retrailers, from everyday high-street chains to exclusive design houses. They may specialise in designing menswear, womenswear or childrenswear.
