Surrealism - Shoot and Analysis

So with this image I tried the whole undoing of the zip to try and show that theres more under the skin to what we see. I did this by using the same image twice but changed the levels and editing the images slightly to show a clear difference. I found the picture of the zip on the interneted and added it on as I was only practising. I got the idea from Fran Carnero, I looked in to his images and really liked the surreal effects he created. I don't think I will be following through and adapting this effect as I have struggled with it and think I need more practise but as there isn't much time left for this project, I'll try this again maybe on future projects.
