These are two of the images that I edited in the style of Joaquin Villaverde. His images really caught my attention and I was quite keen to try out his technique.

These two images I have made the eyes black in both and also the mouth black in one of the images.

I decided to have one image in colour which isn't really Joaquin Villaverde's style and one in black and white because that is more in the photographers style.

I think out of both the images i've taken and edited, the first one with the eye's and mouth blacked out is my preferred one because I think the face looks more hollow than it does in the second image and that the head looks more like it's floating.

Even though I do like the black and white effect in the second image, I can slightly see the outline of the model's shoulders and now that i've noticed it the image isn't as effective as it was before i noticed it.

My next step with these images is to try and hide features of the face by manipulating it on photoshop. I think by using the same images i'll be able to show the adaptation better.
