Today we got the chance to go in to the palace theatre and explore around taking pictures of some of the most beautiful artitecture and find out some of the history on the building it's self and what has gone on inside it. Even though areas of the building had decaded and were falling down, the building was just incrediable to walk around and get a feel of what has gone on in the past! At the moment the building is owned by a charity who have builders and volunteers come in to do the building up inside! They hope to turn the building back in to a theatre and have a high class restraunt in the cinderella room. The theatre orignally opened up in 1898 as a music hall but saddly after three months caught on fire and didnt re-open again till 1899. In 1961 the Palace Theatre was turned in to a bingo hall but later on it then again became a theatre like intended right up untill 1983! It was lasted used as a dance academy but unfortuantly had to be shut down due to a drug raid where class A drugs were found.

This image was taken in the cinderella room which will end up becoming a restraunt. This was probably my favourite room in the whole of building as I thought the architecture was beautiful and the colours were just so glamourous. I deffinietly got the feel of high class in this room, you could just imagine everyone dressed up at the threatre waiting to go in getting drinks from the bar before going in and sitting down.
