The Future - First imovie attempt/ Evaluation

This is my small film that I made of my practice images with sound effects in the background. I wanted to explore the 4D element and show my work in a different way. All the images are from different beachs showing off different textures and surroundings giving off different emotions. It also explores the different ranges of the beach and what I found on them near the water mainly.

This was the first time I have ever made a short film usuing imovie and I actually really enjoyed it and will be using this technique on future blog posts as I think it looks very profession and neat to look at. Usuing the imovie app was actually really easy, all you had to do was selecet the images you wanted to inclued, put them in to a new template, have a look through the sounds that you wanted to included, after that you just had to process it and save it on to either your desktop, google drive or memory stick. Making the movie didn't take very long, and i'm happy with the outcome of it. I've learnt a new skill which will come in handy in other work and help me a long the way.

I think I succeed with the task quite well, I followed the instructions given to us and I was able to create my imovie with very little help. I choose sound effects that complimented my images and helped to create a peacful atmosphere. Looking in to John Akomfrah was a big help to me because his moving image only used sounds and never words, so by looking at the images and listening to the sounds you interpreted it the way that you saw it and didn't have your opinions changed because of anything said. I wanted my movie to do something similar, the sounds are quite light hearted as there wasn't much I could use on the imovie app but I think all in all it went quite well.
