So yesterday as you might already know we watched a documentry on what it means to be English in 1999 by Matin Parr, our task after watching it was to do a little bit more reasearch and plan a shoot on what it means to be plymothian. When I was writing up about my shoot plan I didn't have a lot to say because I didnt know how I would portray plymouth as like most places there are two sides.

After going out in to town and walking round taking images of my surroundings I then came across the sun dile in the middle of town where it was just dead. I decided to edit this image on photoshop and change the colour levels as I wanted to make it look as run down as I could as I wasnt able to go down to where plymouth is most run down.

I'm actually quite happy with the image I got, I think it links well to what we had to do and i think the message is very clear.

Now when I went out and did this shoot, I probably could of done a lot more reasearch as this morning while running through what we were suppose to have on our blog a photographer called Dom Moore who is based in plymouth and actually did the same course had already done a shoot very similar on what it's like to live in plymouth where he captured shoots of argyle fans and people up on the hoe which has given me an even better idea which i would like to try and develop further and maybe fit in to 'The Others' project.
