Linking back to my last blog post, we then went out to do a shoot to see if we could get a similar feel and do are own social documentry photography around plymouth.
I came across this busker, who's voiced showed so much emotion in whatever he was singing! When i took this image i was pretty happy to leave it as it is with out any editting because i feel like he stands out enough as it is.
But if i was to take this image in the style of Dorothea Lange i would change this imagine in to black and white and put a grainy effect over the top. I would bring out the highlights of his face to emphasise his emotions and also highlight the guitar and his hands so make him more eye catching. I think with this image by changing it to black and white you can completely change the whol emotion behind it to something more dramatic.
Now if I decided to do this image in the style of Martin Parr i would make the colours more vibrant yet withh dull outlines, Martin Parr's images always looked quite musky. I think by using his style the whole idea of this being an emotional images would change to being a desperate image as it would make the busker look unflattering and drain him a bit.
