We got the chance today to go in to one of the studios and have a play around with the lighting.

The basic camera settings when working the studio are:

- Manuel Mode

-Manuel focus

-The lowest iso (200)

-use the light meter to find the right aperture

-Auto or flash / whitebalance

-Use and inferred trigger ( to fire flash)

*** make sure camera is not set to iso auton***

Traditional aperture scale:

F32 F22 F16 F11 F6 F5.6 F4 F2.8 F1.4

Before we were able to do a shoot we had to go through health and saftey of using the cove studio and the other studio's.

It's important that everyone who uses the studio keeps to these health and saftey rules so that the studio is kept clean and tidy and all the equipment doesn't get damaged and also so that we as stuendents dont hurt ourselves of anyone around us.

I liked using the studio to take my images in, it was different than what we usually do in class. Being able to control all the eliments like the lighting, space etc. made the final outcome of the image so much better. Even if usuing expensive equpiment is a little intimidating, I'm very lucky to have the chance to use it in my work.
