Inspirational Tuesday

Reasons for this inspiring me is that I really like fashion photography, fashion isn't just clothing it's also jewelry, footwear etc.

The use of depth of field is what caught my attention in this image by Kaelan Nolf who's work is based on moments in peoples life like weddings,

engagments, anniversary, new born babys. graduations etc. and catching raw emotion.

I love how the main focus in this image is the jewelry, after reasearching this image more i learnt that this image comes from a shoot she did on an engagment for a couple. I think even without the reasearch it was clear why she focused on the ring on the womens hand and blurred out the rest of the images using depth of field.

This has made me want to try out using depth of field on small objects with big backgrounds and play around with it it. I will definetly be coming back to Kaelan Nolfs work as she works in different styles but still shows the same emotions.
